Founded by legendary artist and community champion Roderick "Chip Fu" Roachford, the program provides a therapeutic and educational space for young people to explore the intricacies of the music, film, and digital industries.

Standing for Music Appreciation, Art, Time, and Healing, the workshop goes beyond creative expression. It empowers aspiring artists with technical training—from digital recording and web design to reading contracts and managerial duties—while emphasizing the mental and emotional discipline required to thrive in today’s job market.

The CLIMB (Community Learning In Media Building) program, offered through the Manhattan Neighborhood Network (MNN), is a premier workforce development initiative designed to launch New York City youth into the media and entertainment industries. Operating out of state-of-the-art facilities in Hudson Yards, CLIMB provides an intensive, hands-on internship and training experience.

Participants master professional-grade equipment for podcasting, film, and TV production. From high-end audio engineering to working with Unreal Engine—the technology powering top-tier video games and Oscar-winning animations—CLIMB equips students with the technical mastery required for 21st-century careers. Beyond the computer, the program provides social support services and professional development to ensure long-term career success.
